MCU Family Adds Enhanced Bluetooth Features
NXP Semiconductors has announced the availability of new devices within its KW3x family of MCUs. The new KW39/38/37 MCUs add Bluetooth 5.0 long-range capabilities and expanded Bluetooth advertising channels. These enhancements are made with seamless compatibility with the previous generation of devices, KW34/35/36, says NXP.
Espressif Systems has launched an official development kit for building devices which are compatible with Apple HomeKit, on Espressif ‘s ESP32 and ESP32-S2 MCUs. Espressif’s development kit is available to all makers who wish to prototype non-commercial smart home accessories.
