Microchip Technology has announced a new line of PI eXtreme Low Power (XLP) microcontrollers (MCUs). Packed with 14 types of Core Independent Peripherals (CIPs) that operate outside the Central Processing Unit (CPU) for power savings, the 16-bit PIC24F GU and GL families of MCUs feature the CIP called "LCD with Autonomous Animation."

Infineon Technologies has announced a solution that combines the Cypress PSoC 64 Secure microcontrollers with Trusted Firmware-M embedded security, the Arm Mbed IoT OS and the Arm Pelion IoT platform to securely design, manage and update IoT products without the need for custom security firmware. The Pelion-Ready and Mbed OS-Enabled solution demonstrates industry best practices for security, by reaching PSA Certified Level 1.

Renesas Electronics has announced the expansion of its RA6 Series MCUs with nine new RA6M4 Group MCUs, increasing the RA Family to 42 MCUs. These 32-bit MCUs boost operating performance up to 200MHz using the Arm Cortex-M33 core based on Armv8-M architecture with Arm TrustZone technology.
