Microcontroller Boom is On

The increasing need for healthcare devices is fueling a rapid rise in microcontroller (MCUs) sales.

In general, there are more seniors in the overall population than ever before, as well as escalating health disorders worldwide. Increasing the demand for MCU-heavy devices such as spirometers, heart rate monitors, and other healthcare devices.

The need for MCUs to fill this growth sector is driving prices up and causing some supply issues.

According to Yahoo Finance, the growth is seen as indicative of more healthcare devices needed in an expanding marketplace along with the increased use of electronic devices in the consumer markets.

Grand View Research is reporting a CAGR (Compound annual growth rate) of at least 11% from 2023 to 2030 for microcontrollers.
