On Wednesday, November 27, CISU participated in the TV2 program
Operation X.
The program features a representative from an organization that is both a recipient of the Civil Society Fund and a member of CISU.
The individual appears in hidden recordings, speaking in a manner that leads the viewer to believe they have paid for sex in an African country. Additionally, they are seen advising a young man, who expresses a desire to be with a prostitute, on the practicalities involved if one chooses to engage with a prostitute.
The person acknowledges that this behavior is problematic when representing an NGO.
These statements indicate conduct that directly contradicts any code of conduct addressing PSHEA (Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse) and have led to consequences for the individual in question.
