Friday 5 February 2021COVID-19 update: City of Wanneroo facilities and services during the post-lockdown transition periodDear City of Wanneroo residents Premier Mark McGowan has announced that the five-day COVID-19 lockdown for the Perth, Peel and South West regions will end as planned. From 6pm tonight (Friday 5 February) Perth and Peel will enter into a post-lockdown transition period until 12.01am, Sunday 14 February. This allows the full 14-day incubation period to run its course. The lifting of the lockdown is testament to the willingness of our community to do what is needed to keep WA safe. I thank you all for your resilience and your consideration for one another. The transition period allows us to begin re-opening the City’s services and facilities, with some changes to operations to ensure compliance with State Government capacity and physical distancing requirements, but we must stay vigilant to protect our community. All community members are expected to adhere to State Government COVID-19 requirements, including signing in and wearing masks at all of the City’s community facilities and services. We are counting on your cooperation to help keep you, City staff and our community safe. It is a reality that to comply with current State Government requirements, a number of City events have been postponed. For more information about the City’s community facilities and services, including opening hours, capacity and physical distancing arrangements and updates on postponed events, please visit wanneroo.wa.gov.au/covid-19. We will be updating this page with the latest arrangements and service and facility news, so please check in regularly. You’ve done an amazing job to help us get to this point. THANK YOU.
