City's deal to buy the Lemoine building is apparently dead

By ADAM DAIGLE l Acadiana Business Editor

Welcome to another edition of your Acadiana Business Newsletter. Friday is finally here. Let's get on to the headlines.

The news trickled in late on this one yesterday: the deal the city of Lafayette had with the owner of the Lemoine building in downtown Lafayette is now dead. It was going to be the home of Lafayette city court in a move that would pave the way for Rock 'N' Bowl owner Johnny Blancher's massive residetial project at the current city court site.

Blancher says he is still moving forward with his project. More details should shake out on this thing as the day progresses.

Have a great weekend and see you Monday.
