This program critically examines the role of local political culture in governance priorities and processes, why some good ideas take root while others do not, and ways that learners build on the best evidence available to effect change. SPRING 2022 Elective Course Highlight: Capilano U’s PADM 209 Corporate Administration course is unique in BC and will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills you need to be more effective in your work. Topics include bylaw drafting, applying parliamentary law and meeting rules of order, public consent processes, Freedom of Information requests, elections, records management and more. PADM 209 will be offered online over 8 weeks: January 17 to March 11, 2022. It fulfills the elective course requirement in the Local Government Administration Certificate program and is a required course for the Local Government Advanced Certificate and Diploma programs.
