The CivicJobs National Education Award is presented annually to a person who is studying local government, public administration, public policy, or a related discipline at a Canadian post-secondary institution. To be eligible, a student must be employed by a local government, or by a non-profit organization that supports local governments in Canada. The MIABC's annual Risk Management Conference is held each spring and is open to all staff of MIABC members, partners, First Nation and non-member local governments. The conference provides an overview of the basic tenets of risk management, as well as presentations and workshops on more advanced topics. The conference serves as a platform for gathering and exchanging knowledge, featuring a deliberately diverse agenda covering a wide range of topics, from technical, department-specific information to more universal themes. Best of all, it provides an excellent networking opportunity for attendees to make connections and socialize with their counterparts from other regions.
Conference Pricing All in-person ticket options include access to two days of in-person sessions, conference materials, breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunches and the Golden Chips and Gatsby Dreams event.
MIABC Members: $475 (Early Bird: $425) Non-MIABC Member: $825
MIABC members can use their available Risk Management Grant funds to pay for registration fee and travel expenses and staff of First Nations governments are eligible to register for the conference at the MIABC member rate!
