Clean Up Australia and Bush Tucker Tasting

Come and help clean up the corridor on Clean Up Australia Day and taste some of Belinda Cox's bush tucker! Forrest Road is looking a bit messy, so we're going to clean it up. There is evidence that people are more likely to litter if they see litter lying around. We can stop this spiral and people will enjoy and respect the corridor more. We will provide picker uppers, bags and some gloves. Afterwards Belinda Cox will treat us to a bush tucker tasting and yarn. Anyone who's been to one of Belinda's events will know this will be a blast!

• We are in Bunuru,the hottest and driest time of year
• Marri are flowering now, providing nectar for many native fauna
• The Native Bee workshop was a great success, with 70 people in attendance
• We hope to finish building our bee hotels soon. When we install them we'll do a call out for custodians, to keep an eye on them
• Kit Prendergast did a native bee survey and found over 10 species. This is a great result and shows that the corridor is in good shape (native bees are great bio-indicators!)
• A new limestone track will soon be installed in North Lake Road East
• The off-grid bird waterer will also soon be installed!
