Spartanburg one of 86 metro areas to add construction jobs

Spartanburg, Columbia and Myrtle Beach are three of 86 metro areas across the country named by the Associated General Contractors of America that gained jobs in the construction, mining and logging inudustry from 2019-2020. About 400 industry jobs were added in that period across these three areas.

Foundation awards $359,000 in grants to S.C. nonprofits

The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina recently awarded grants totaling $359,000 to 46 nonprofit organizations throughout the state. Upstate charities included Foothills Family Resources, YMCA of Greenville, Public Education Partners and Switch, among others.
