Clemson develops Nephron robot to battle drug shortages

As pharmaceutical shortages stepped into the spotlight during the COVID-19 pandemic, a partnership between Clemson University and Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corp. sought to address the hold-ups with a team of robots.

Filtration company investing in Clarendon County facility

On Time Distribution LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of filtration products, is investing $5.8 million in a facility in Manning expected to create 75 jobs during the next five years. The company was founded in 2011.

Committee awards $30 million in disaster recovery grants

The federally funded grants are to be used for infrastructure improvements aimed at lessening loss of life, injury and property damage from future disasters. The S.C. Office of Resilience awarded the grants at a March 9 meeting.

4 organizations receive diesel emission reduction grants

DHEC’s State Diesel Emissions Reduction Act, funded by the EPA, awarded grants totaling more than $285,000. Recipients included a Lexington County propane business and a Fairfield County biofuel company.
