Akron begins construction on ARPA-funded $7.8M Patterson Park Community Center
The city of Akron on Thursday broke ground on the new Patterson Park Community Center. The project, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, calls for replacing the existing community center with a 12,400-square-foot building that will offer courts for volleyball, pickleball and basketball, along with meeting rooms, a multipurpose room, a game room, an art/gardening room and a new outdoor playground.
