Man at crash site asked police to give him a break because he had been drinking: Bainbridge Township police blotter
As seen in this week's Bainbridge Township police blotter, officers released a 70-year-old man to his wife 1:20 p.m. Jan. 12 after he crashed his car into a fire hydrant. An off-duty officer called the police station to report seeing the incident. When an on-duty officer arrived, the man asked him to give him a break because he had been drinking. The subject showed evidence that he was intoxicated and failed a blood alcohol test. Police cited him for failure to control his vehicle and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
