In this interview with Dr. Moss, Dr. Francisco Contreras, and Daniel Kennedy discuss the history of the Oasis of Hope clinic, their current approach, and where they’d like to see cancer treatments headed in the future.

Oasis of Hope, the oldest CAM clinic for cancer in Mexico, has made headlines for their use of Laetrile, a treatment derived from apricot kernels that has been the subject of much controversy in the US. The clinic also utilizes chemotherapy, dendritic cell vaccines, immune therapies, and targeted metabolic therapies.

Francisco Contreras, MD serves as the general director and chairman of the Oasis of Hope Hospital.  He is the son of the Oasis of Hope Hospital founder, Dr. Ernesto Contreras, Sr. He has been treating cancer patients for the last thirty-eight years.  Dr. Francisco Contreras has authored and co-authored numerous books about health. His latest book is called The Art and Science of Undermining Cancer.

Daniel E. Kennedy is the first grandson of Dr. Ernesto Contreras, Sr. and is a psycho-oncology counselor who has served as chief executive officer and vice-chair of Oasis of Hope Hospital since 1993.
