The Minister for Lords (MfL), with the consent of Scottish and Welsh Ministers, has made a decision with regards to the Great Britain Mandatory Classification and Labelling (GB MCL) of 88 chemical substances from the 14th and 15th EU Adaptations to Progress (EU ATPs). The decision gives legal effect to the entries for these 88 substances in the GB MCL list (.xslx) under Article 37 of the GB CLP Regulation.  The Ministerial decision, with consent from the Devolved Governments, made under Article 37 of the GB CLP Regulation, is an administrative process of updating the GB MCL list. A consolidated summary of these 88 GB MCLs is now available in the GB CLP publication table (.xslx), together with the entry into force date (26 June 2024) and the compliance date (26 June 2024).  The reason for the decision was to give legal effect to entries in the GB MCL list that were not retained/assimilated into GB law, following the exit of the UK from the European Union in 2020 and the end of the implementation period on 31 December 2020.  More information on the GB MCL system is available on the HSE website. |
