Good Morning! Today we have Liveclicker’s Chief Operating Officer Kenna Hilburn, addressing the perceived lack of leadership amongst CMOs. A recent report from Korn/Ferry shows that 84% of CMOs are concerned that they have no obvious successor in their organization. Kenna challenges marketers to get out of their comfort zone in order to lead change. Also, the holiday shopping season may be over, but December sales offer more than a quick hit of revenue. They also offer a treasure trove of new customers, data and insights that can inform new campaigns and deliver added momentum in 2020, writes Kibo Commerce’s Andrew Koperwas. Also ICYMI: SOCi Inc., a leading social and reputation management platform for multi-location businesses, announced it closed an oversubscribed Series C funding round of $15 million co-led by Vertical Venture Partners, Grayhawk Capital, and newcomer Ankona Capital with participation from Blossom Street Ventures. Multiplied Marketing Communications LLC announced the acquisition of Multiplied LLC, a premium blockchain marketing communications firm, for an undisclosed sum. SproutLoud, a leading Distributed Marketing platform, announced that end-to-end call tracking attribution with AI-optimized speech recognition and call scoring are now available to companies that use a distributed marketing strategy, selling their products through vast networks of resellers. Deloitte’s New CMO Organization Benchmark Study: The CMOs report the top three measurements of success in the eyes of their CEO are awareness (51 percent), sales/revenue (31 percent), and media ROI (29 percent). |
