| The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved a five-year extension to the "Minnesota Reform: Pathways to Independence" section 1115 demonstration. This approval extends longstanding demonstration authority to provide home and community-based services (HCBS) to certain individuals aged 65 and over who are in need of nursing facility care and not otherwise eligible for the stateâs other Medicaid HCBS programs under section 1915 of the Social Security Act because their income or assets exceed applicable financial eligibility limits, as further specified in the demonstration.
