Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Oregons Basic Health Program (BHP) Blueprint. This approval is the first in a series of steps which allow Oregon to establish a BHP, with coverage beginning July 1, 2024. Through the BHP, Oregon will be able to provide healthcare coverage to individuals with income 138 200 percent of the federal poverty level. Individuals enrolled in the BHP will receive a comprehensive benefit package, including all Essential Health Benefits, and will not be charged premiums or other cost sharing.
