Attracting hundreds of thousands of people from across the world, the annual music festival has now been cancelled for the third time - with health officials saying the decision was made to reduce the likelihood of exposure to the virus.

Coachella musical festival cancelled for 2021

The Coachella Valley, Music and Arts Festival, has been cancelled again.

According to Billboard, the annual festival was scheduled for 9-11 April and 16-18 April. Last year the festival was postponed from April to October but was eventually cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Dr Cameron Kaiser, the public health officer for Riverside County where the festival is held every year, announced on Twitter.
