There were A LOT of bad coaching decisions in Week 8 and they weren't all by Freddie Kitchens. Sean Wagner-McGough points out that Andy Reid is a great play caller but he's actually horrible at one thing as we break down every game. John Breech and Ryan Wilson join too to talk Niners (could Super Bowl LIV be Jimmy G vs. Tom Brady?), Bears, Deshaun Watson and much more.
If that was a rusty Drew Brees, what happens when he works off the rust? The Saints QB threw for 373 yards and three TDs barely six weeks after a thumb injury that was supposed to take eight weeks to heal. John Breech gave Brees and the Saints a perfect mark for stomping the Cards, and he has grades for every team, including one that was even worse than the Bears'.
Remember the last time the Jets and Giants made a trade? Of course you don't because IT NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. Leonard Williams became the first N.Y.-to-N.Y. deal in NFL history, and we've got that and all the latest moves in our trade tracker as Tuesday's deadline gets closer. Kenyan Drake also has a new team, and check out who's rumored to be next.

The Cowboys opened as the biggest road favorite they've been against the Giants in 20 years, but John Breech says there's still good news for Giants fans: The last time they were this big of home dogs vs. Dallas (1997), N.Y. pulled off a major upset. John broke down all the Week 9 lines, including the double-doink revenge game and a very surprising Niners-Cards stat.
The 49ers are taking us back to the Nineties. They scored their most points since 1993 and are 7-0 for the first time since 1990, so who better to mimic from that era than Jerry Rice? Tevin Coleman did just that, and he sits atop Dan Schneier's list of the 10 biggest surprises and milestones from Week 8 (but they're not all good milestones; get a load of No. 10).
In back-to-back drafts, the No. 1 pick was a QB who got there after a meteoric rise up the board (Baker Mayfield in 2018, Kyler Murray this year). So why not make it three in a row? Chris Trapasso has Joe Burrow, who wasn't even in many first round projections a few months ago, going No. 1 to the Bengals, and check out the Dolphins' huge haul.
When the Bears traded up for Mitchell Trubisky, Jason La Canfora scratched his head. When there was preseason talk of Trubisky being in the MVP mix, JLC wondered if he was stuck in a warped parallel universe. Now, the Bears have been derailed by their QB, and JLC says it's time to bench him. Jason's got more Week 8 notes, too (Trubisky's not the only QB who should sit).
