Researchers produced a sound so loud it vaporized water
Using an extremely strong X-ray laser, scientists at a Stanford University laboratory created a sound underwater that is equivalent to 270 decibels, which is even louder than a rocket launch. The sound was so loud that its power instantly boiled and vaporized the water around it.
