Cockburn Kids Parent eNews February 2021

Parenting support, kids activities, lockdown information

With playgroups, library programs and schools not opening this week, after the long holiday break, and playgrounds and skateparks closed, we know that some parents might need some support or ideas for occupying their children.

See below for what to do this week, what is coming up (subject to Covid-19 changes), where to get help, City lockdown information and a message from our Mayor. We include Connecting Community for Kids (CCK) tips for dealing with children's reactions to wearing face masks.

Stay cool and safe.

Hoping to hop soon

The trailer is packed, the staff are ready and we are hoping to see you soon to start another fun term of Froggy's Fun on the Green outdoor playgroup. Some new 'friends' are joining us to add to the fun in Manning Park and if you know who they are ssshhhhhh, don't spoil the surprise!

Remember Mondays at Manning Park and Tuesdays at Meller Park this term.
Check out the website page and City's Facebook page for updates before next Monday.

Community Concert Cancelled
We have cancelled the annual Cockburn Central community concert, scheduled for Saturday 6 February as it is not prudent to stage the event given the circumstances, even if the lockdown has ended, due to large audience numbers.
Most events and workshops scheduled for this week, including Saturday 6 February have been cancelled or postponed. For updates visit our events web page or our Facebook page.

Community Consultation
