Eco shark barrier given five more years
Our swimming enclosure at Coogee Beach is staying put for another five years, thanks to Council accepting the tender to continue Ultimate Limestone's lease. The enclosure was the first one in Australia and installed in 2013, and Perth currently only has two enclosures. Stretching 300 metres long and 75 metres wide, it's perfect for lap swimmers and those that want to wet their knees.
Weβre Perthβs best playground, home to Adventure World theme park, Cockburn Ice Arena, Coogee Maritime Trail, and Omeo shipwreck, and the award-winning Cockburn ARC (Aquatic and Recreation Centre).
Not only do we have these exceptional recreational destinations on our doorstep β what really sets us apart is our variety and expanse of public spaces that are the envy of those who live elsewhere. From the Bibra Lake Wetlands and Regional Playground to Coogee Beach and Woodman Point, however you like to play, there is something in Cockburn for everyone. Adventure is waiting... what will you decide?

The concert is AUSLAN interpreted so everyone can enjoy what will be an incredible open-air concert under the night sky. Get there early for a good spot on the oval (Dockers training grounds) in Cockburn Central.
Catch a train, carpool, or park for free at Cockburn ARC. The concert starts at 7pm and food is available on-site to purchase. Itβs a good idea to bring cash as there are no ATMs and only some food vendors will have EFTPOS. Oh, and donβt forget the mozzie repellent!
