Volunteer Screening

Volunteer National Police Certificate

Did you know your organisation may be eligible for discounted National Police Certificates?  The Volunteer National Police Certificate Program is a joint initiative between the Department of Communities and the WA Police. Screening volunteers for criminal history is good practice and when used appropriately can assist Volunteer Involving Organisations in identifying potential liabilities and hazards.

To be eligible, organisations must:

  • be an incorporated body such as an association, company, government organisation, or a co-operative
  • utilise volunteers in Western Australia for the benefit of the community
  • agree to the conditions of the Volunteer National Police Certificate program
