Ever been tempted to take a great big gulp of the Thames? Of course you haven’t – that wouldn’t end well. But if you’ve ever at least been curious as to what our grand old river and other similarly iconic features of our city might taste like, here’s your chance to find out.
As part of a foodie-focused new run of our latest London Eye takeover, we’ve enlisted grub wizards Bompas & Parr to take you on a tasting tour of the city – literally. Through the medium of flavoured syrups, dipping lollies and a dash of their trademark trickery they’ll leave you barely believing your tastebuds.
But if you’d rather just have something wet and boozy in your hand, we’ve got you covered. The folks from events company Hidden Door are hosting a series of sessions in which they chart the past, present and future of drinking in London, revealing how and why tastes have changed over the years. Kinda like time-travel then, with a cocktail shaker instead of a DeLorean.
If you’re keen, get those tickets booked – they’re just £30. | |
