Pichai on navigating consumer privacy expectations and how quantum will change everything from AI to encryption to national security.

Code Conference 2020

Hi,

Google CEO Sundar Pichai is now helming Alphabet as founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin take a step back from their role leading Alphabet’s side bets.

As Kara Swisher opined in the New York Times, the shakeup is mainly a formalization of how things have already been operating — and a recognition that if Pichai is to usher in a new era for Google and Alphabet, he needs to be seen as the man in charge. But questions remain about leadership roles, as Page and Brin still retain control of the company by holding most of its voting shares.

Pichai is joining us at Code to talk about what’s next for Google and Alphabet — specifically his vision for privacy and Google’s claim to quantum supremacy.

This fall, Google announced it had successfully used quantum technology to calculate a problem that a normal computer would need thousands of years to complete. We’ll hear from Pichai about the far-reaching implications of this new tech.

You can join us May 26-28 for that talk and many more at Code’s new location: The Beverly Hilton and Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, California.
