Hi, Stacey Abrams is one of the new faces of the Democratic Party. Last year, she ran a historic campaign to become the governor of Georgia — and even though she narrowly lost, she garnered more votes than any other Democrat in the state’s history. In the aftermath of that close election, she launched Fair Fight with her former campaign manager Lauren Groh-Wargo to promote election reform and challenge voter suppression. This year, she’s frequently mentioned as a potential candidate for a Senate run, or perhaps a presidential bid, in 2020. So we’re delighted that Abrams is joining the speaker lineup at Code Conference, where the most important and influential leaders are coming to speak about technology and much more. Abrams will be joined onstage by Groh-Wargo, CEO of Fair Fight Action, to discuss what they learned from her surprising campaign in 2018, how other candidates can mobilize underrepresented voices, and their plans to advocate for fair elections and increase voter participation on the national stage. You can join us June 10-12 for that talk and many more at Code’s new location — The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Arizona. Kara and Peter |
