What you need to know

  • June's primary is still not over, at least in the 2nd Congressional District. Colby Jenkins filed for an election recount with the Utah Lieutenant Governor’s Office on Monday. It was the final day for Jenkins to request a second look at the 214-vote margin that separates him from Rep. Celeste Maloy. The full recount will be done in the next 7 days.

Romney cosponsors resolution supporting Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) joined Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and seven of their Senate colleagues in introducing a bipartisan resolution expressing support for the United States national teams competing in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, France. 

“For more than 100 years, the Olympic and Paralympic Movements have educated young people through amateur athletics; brought together athletes from many countries in friendly competition; and forged new relationships among athletes bound by friendship, solidarity, and fair play,” the senators’ resolution states. “The people of the United States stand united in respect, admiration, and pride for the athletes of Team USA and their athletic accomplishments, sportsmanship, grace under pressure, goodwill toward other competitors, and commitment to excellence.” (Read More)
