The Advocate's Top Headlines

with Jennifer Wadsworth | Assistant metro editor

Good morning. Here are some of the top stories from today…

Snow on the way?

Forecasters tell us to brace for another cold front this weekend — and perhaps some overnight snowfall in some parts of the state. While we may not get actual snowfall here in the capital region, forecasters suggest bundling up for wintry rain and a chance of icy flurries.

Need a free COVID test?

Well, you're in luck.

A website launching next week should be able to help with that. Come Wednesday, the White House says, you should be able to log onto COVIDTests.gov and order tests free of charge.

On the run

The Louisiana Marathon is coming to Baton Rouge this weekend, with shorter races Saturday and the main event the following morning. Whether you want to cheer on the runners or avoid traffic from roads blocked off for the race routes, it's worth taking a look at our map of the event, which you can find here.

We appreciate your checking in with us today. Have a great weekend.
