On a whim I thought I'd try to comb my little rug carpets using my pet brushes. One is the "Furminator" pet brush and another just a cheap little wire pet comb/brush. Both worked great!

This is an exotic Persian twist on a typical jam, using carrots, cardamom, pistachios and almonds. The ingredients are known to be crunchy in their original state, but when cooked down, they turn almost honey-like. You will love this jam for your toasts, and even drizzled on yogurt. I love to give these as gifts!

July 1st was a hot/humid day in Wisconsin. I noticed this mother and her pup slept out of the bat house very low to the ground where it was cooler. The pup is tucked behind her body, near her legs, close to the cedar. We have 34 moms in the bat house, it's a maternity colony.

Waxelene is a petroleum-free vaseline alternative. I used it with both of my kids for diaper rash and other skin problems. Recently, I used it on my daughter to help with her cradle cap and the cradle cap completely cleared up!

One of the best toppings for a banana Popsicle is whipped cream. You can put vanilla wafers crumbs in a bowl and sprinkle them on top. The taste is reminiscent of banana pudding and can't be beat for simplicity and fun.
