Come join us for the 2024 Creative Nation Summit

This two-day Summita collaboration between the British Council Philippines, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), aims to foster a comprehensive and inclusive discussion on the future of the creative economy in the Philippines.

Focusing on the discussion pillars of creative technology, creative and cultural statistics, and creative placemaking, the Summit aims to propel the Philippines toward its vision of becoming Southeast Asia’s premier creative hub by 2030.

Dakila to hold its Climate Story Lab this October

As part of the the "12th Active Vista Human Rights Festival: Espekulasyon," Dakila will hold its Climate Story Lab this 3-4 October 2024 with British Council Philippines, Picture People, iMedia and Rockfeller Foundation. The Climate Story Lab  offers an opportunity for young creatives and advocates to tell compelling climate stories that encourage audiences to take strategic and meaningful actions towards addressing climate issues. It will be followed by a Climate Story Lab Pitching on 6 October 2024.

CTC collaboration "Where the Flowers Bloom" to hold its exhibition in London

Where the Flowers Bloom is a CTC collaboration  by Filipino-based and London-based ESEA artists collaborating on Kew garden archive material. The exhibition aims to deconstruct, reimagine, and reclaim the grounds of botanical preservation through a blend of art, science, and culture-based co-creation. The exhibition will be on 5-6 October 2025 at the Musuem of the Home in London.

Celebrating Excellence: The Impact of the Creative Innovators Programme on Good Design Award Recipients

The Good Design Award Philippines, a prestigious biennial event organized by the Design Center of the Philippines, has once again celebrated the exceptional achievements of Filipino designers across various creative fields. This year, the British Council proudly highlights the success of four remarkable innovators, all alumni of the Creative Innovators Programme (CIP). Their outstanding contributions have earned them top honors at the Good Design Award Philippines 2024.

British Council Philippines speaks at the Philippine-Indonesia Creative Economy Roundtable

British Council Philippines was invited to the Philippine-Indonesia Creative Economy Roundtable and partake in the discussions. Country Director, Lotus Postrado, joined the panel on "Fostering Innovation: Lessons and Insights on Creative Economy Research."  It was an exciting opportunity to explore how the Philippines and Indonesia can work together to drive innovation and growth in the creative economy.
