PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS Civil Rights: A Commemoration of Dr. King March 17, 2018 (9:30 am - 1:30 pm) How do artworks record the actions and legacy of civil rights workers? How can they inspire students to explore history and the present? Join area teachers as well as Faye Colon from Teaching for Change to practice strategies that bring the complexity of the civil rights movement into conversation with today. $10 workshop fee includes breakfast and lunch. |
