Mobile Communications America expands with acquisition

Mobile Communications America in Spartanburg, a provider of wireless communication solutions, has acquired Communications Service Center, a full-service wireless integrator in Greenville. Details of the acquisition were not provided.

Unemployment rate falls to 2.6% in October

South Carolina’s unemployment rate fell again in October, dipping to 2.6%. In September, the state’s unemployment rate fell below 3% for the first time, dropping to 2.9%. The number of estimated South Carolinians working increased by more than 7,100 people from September to a record high of 2,318,762.

Bank names Soteria its first Neighborhood Champion

Bank of America on Wednesday announced the launch of its Neighborhood Champions program in the Upstate, naming Soteria Community Development Corp. as its inaugural awardee.
