Heaps going on at The Hub

The Hub 6163 in Hamilton Hill has re-opened its doors and is inviting people to get involved and enjoy the range of activities, workshops and events on offer. Regular activities include: 

  • Bluegrass music jams 
  • Textile workshops
  • Art workshops for kids 
  • Yoga classes
  • Playgroup
  • Social sewing (Days for Girls)
Coming up is The Hub's open day and Light After COVID event - Sunday 26 July from 2pm to 5pm. There will be face painting, food, entertainment, yoga & mindfulness for kids and more!

Re-mobilising volunteers

Volunteering WA have produced a useful document to help organisations navigate the unique circumstances of COVID-19. 

When recommencing the delivery of programs and re-mobilising volunteers, safety is paramount and all Volunteer Involving Organisations have an obligation to protect the health and safety of volunteers.

There are twenty banner spaces around the City for community and not-for-profit groups to hire for free.

Join a walking group

Heart Foundation walking groups are not only good for your health, but also a great way to meet people. New walkers are welcome and it's free. 

There are groups in Coogee, Port Coogee, South Lake, Spearwood, Success and Treeby.

Cockburn Healthy Lifestyle Program is back

Develop lifelong healthy eating and lifestyle habits with this 
free program. Run over a 6 or 8 week period, the program involves 1 hour of gentle exercise & 1 hour of lifestyle education per week, and health consultations at the start and end of the program.
