Companywide layoffs hit KADN

KADN let go of five employees Tuesday as part of a companywide round of layoffs among Allen Media Group properties across the country.

According to a source familiar with the matter, the five employees weorked part time in production. No on-air staffers were let go.

News of layoffs at other Allen properties included higher-ranking staffers, including a sports director who was let go at Indiana-based KTHI after being hired in 2009. Others at the station were also let go, one report indicated.
