Last year, I set a BIG goal for myself.

It wasn’t to 10X my business…

Or add an extra ‘0’ to my investment portfolio…

Or even to work fewer hours and have more free time...

It was to find an amazing partner.

Someone who I could share my life with (and who could help me stay sane on the entrepreneurial roller coaster).

Since I’m way too old for apps like Tinder (and since I have no interest in going back to the bar and club scene)...

After deciding to reach out to my network and enlist my friends and mentors to help me find my dream girl...

...I was lucky enough to have a friend introduce me to my now girlfriend Michelle.

And, as they say, “The rest is history.”

Since Michelle and I started dating… my life has changed in more ways than I can count.

Our relationship has made me a better entrepreneur, it’s made me more productive, kinder, less anxious, and more generous.

But it also taught me an important lesson about business…

Sometimes, the MOST important thing you can do to grow your business has NOTHING to do with your business itself.

I’ve coached hundreds of clients who thought they had a “business problem”.

They thought they were missing a new system or paid advertising strategy or sales technique.

When really…

What they needed was to spend time pouring into their marriage (or finding a partner in the first place!), improving their health, or just having FUN.

Sometimes…

You don’t need a new ad strategy or email marketing trick…

You just need to take a vacation, get more than 5 hours of sleep, and give yourself the time to recharge and re-engage so you can show up to your business the way you need to.

A great example of this is my friend and client Zander Fryer.

A few years ago, Zander was telling me that his business was doing really well…

He’d grown it to 7-figures in a little under 2 years and things were only getting bigger.

...But no matter how many sales he made or clients he helped.

He still felt like something was missing.

Sure, he was building an amazing life for himself.

But that was the problem… he was only building it for himself.

He didn’t have anyone to share it with… to inspire him… to support him.

And he knew that more work wasn’t going to fill the hole he felt.

So I challenged him to get accountable to his goal of finding the “perfect” partner and, like Zander always does, he took the challenge seriously.

He stood up on stage and announced to a room of 300+ entrepreneurs that he was GOING to find the love of his life in the next 12 months…

And about 7 months to the day he made this declaration, I helped introduce him to the amazing Maddy Applin.

She lived in Australia. He lived in San Diego.

But they both knew it was meant to be.

And they pulled out all the stops to make things work.

Fast forward to today?

Ms. Applin is now Mrs. Fryer (what can I say, I’m a natural matchmaker ;)

And Zander (and his business) are doing better than ever.

Meeting Maddy forced Zander to level up every area of his life.

It gave him a greater sense of purpose, direction, and focus that frankly, is impossible to achieve when you’re doing the journey by and for yourself.

But the thing is…

His story isn’t unique.

I’ve seen the same pattern play out time and time again in the lives of the men I coach.

And the lesson here is simple…

If you’re struckling in your business and feel like a “Lost Warrior” without a clear sense of purpose and direction…

Take a step back from your business and look at the rest of your life.

Where are you “leaking energy” outside of your business that may be causing problems in your business?

Do you have a consistent date night ritual with your spouse?

Do you spend quality time with your kids and show up for them as a PARENT, not just a provider?

Are you getting enough sleep, exercising regularly, and eating clean foods?

Have you been in “hustle mode” for years without taking a real vacation or having regular weekends?

Remember…

As an entrepreneur, your business can only grow as much as YOU grow.

And if you’re ignoring critical areas of your life and hiding behind your business as an excuse…

You’re sabotaging yourself and your profits.

To Your Success,
Craig

P.S. While I can’t guarantee that I’ll introduce you to your future spouse…

If you’re looking for a coach who won’t just help you build your perfect business...but your perfect life.

I’ve still got a few spots left in my 1-on-1 program for Q3.

Fair warning… my inbox has been flooded with new applications this week and I may or may not have the bandwidth for new clients after responding to them all.

But if you feel like you’re a good fit and you want my help creating your perfect life, hit “reply” and let me know more about yourself and your business.
