Happy Memorial Day 2018

Happy Memorial Day to everyone in the US. For those of you in the rest of the world, hopefully it's an easy workday for you.

It's a holiday here, and I'm off. Likely I have a lot of chores to catch up on, so I'll be working around the house, trying to get things fixed and prepared for a long summer. Living on a ranch means a regular set of things to repair or improve, so I have plenty to do.

Enjoy the beginning of summer and I'll be back tomorrow.

I have an Azure SQL Database server where I have a single database. I have enabled Automatic tuning on this database and it has worked well. I want to ensure that any of the new databases created on this server have automatic tuning enabled for the CREATE INDEX and DROP INDEX statements, but not the FORCE PLAN option. What should I do?

Answer: Use the portal for the server to change the server settings

Explanation:

The server on which your databases are linked can have its settings changed to ensure all new databases inherit the options you prefer.
