| You won't want to miss keynote The keynote for this year was already one to remember with Arshad Mansoor, SVP R&D, EPRI, and Regis Repko,SVP and Chief Fossil- Hydro Officer, Duke Energy, in the lineup. But now it's definitely one for the record books with the addition of Lieutenant General Todd T. Semonite, 54th Chief of Engineers and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers produces 25% of all the hydroelectric power in the U.S., and Lieutenant General Semonite is the person in charge of it all. LTG Semonite will discuss how the Corps continues to support hydroelectric power generation in the current and future operational environment. Political, economic, security, infrastructure, and environmental systems impacting hydropower will be discussed in addition to the Corps' response to the recent spate of hurricanes, floods, and mudslides in close succession.
