Connect this Summer with #LJReads

Beginning July 22 at 3 PM EST, LJ will host three Twitter chats, each devoted to a different section of Curtis Sittenfeld’s Rodham.

With social distancing still the norm despite the slow path toward reopening, fostering a sense of unity is difficult. But librarians all over the country have launched virtual book clubs and other programming to bring their patrons together, and we now join them as we offer our readers an opportunity to forge connections with other members of the Library Journal community: #LJReads on Twitter.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be reading Curtis Sittenfeld’s Rodham, a novel that asks: What if Hillary Rodham had never married Bill Clinton? Crafting an alternate political history, Sittenfeld raises thought-provoking questions about politics and gender.

Starting July 22, LJ will host three Twitter chats, each devoted to a different section of the novel. We’ll tweet out discussion questions using the hashtag #LJReadsRodham. You can weigh in during our live chats, or, if you can’t make those, feel free to respond whenever you like. #LJReads will culminate with a chat with author Curtis Sittenfeld.

In the coming weeks, we encourage you to grab a copy of Rodham and start reading, and we look forward to discussing the book with you!

Be sure to follow us on Twitter if you don't already, so you can join the conversation.
