In May's featured talk, Eckhart reminds us that "honest self-observation is not easy." He encourages us to practice self-observation in the midst of our daily lives to garner insight with respect to our spiritual development. As Eckhart explains, "Observing how you operate in daily life situations gives you feedback as to the evolution of your consciousness and to what extent you're free of egoic identification. How do you deal with arguments and discussions? Do you become emotional? Do you become defensive? Do you become aggressive? Do you become withdrawn?" This month, we invite you to practice self-observation as honestly as you can. Please remember: this isn't about self-judgment or self-criticism. It is about raising awareness to our egoic patterns that can sabotage our efforts on the path of awakening. Best of luck with your practice! Please visit our community Facebook group and share your experience. As always, we look forward to hearing about your journey. |
