Dear Yogi, The final step of the journey of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, after we’ve re-organised our relationships with the outside world and our own inner world – is Samadhi – meaning ‘bliss’ or ‘enlightenment’.
Samadhi is often misinterpreted as a state of happiness and ecstasy, but it’s quite the opposite; it’s about realising the very life that lies in front of us. It’s about the ability to ‘see equally’ and without disturbance from the mind, without our experience being conditioned by likes, dislikes or habits, and without a need to judge or become attached to any particular aspect.
The physical practice of yoga can help you shed those layers and is essentially a gateway to a more genuine connection with your self.
Try it for yourself with our suggested classes below - and come with curiosity and compassion.
