Convenience stores saw record sales in stores in 2023, according to newly released data. Total convenience industry sales in 2023 were $859.8 billion and average basket size increased 3.7% to $7.80.

The prices keep going up and there seems to be no end in sight. Are the grocers sending extra coupons or giving back a point? No, they’re not. Soon we’ll all be shopping at Mobile for hot dogs and tissue paper.
