Dear Friends, We want to keep in touch with you and to do that we've launched #ConnectwithCAM, a new online initiative featuring family programming, lesson plans for you to do at home, meditation sessions, and videos exploring the art in our galleries and on our grounds. Tomorrow, we launch a new virtual exhibition of Phil Freelon's Structure in Space and Time - Photography by Phil Freelon. You can access the exhibition here.
Our mission is to provide a cultural gathering place that enriches the community through high-quality exhibitions, lifelong learning in the arts, dynamic public programs, and stewardship and interpretation of the collection. The current COVID-19 crisis has required us to shut our doors, close our café and shop, cancel classes and workshops, postpone concerts, and move our family programming online. Because of this our streams of revenue have been cut, and we have had to make the most heart-breaking decisions that arts organizations, nonprofits, and businesses all over the country are now forced to make, laying off much of our staff. We do this because we have to, because it is what we need to do to make sure that CAM will be here for you, our community, when this crisis is over and for many years to come. We're working now to ensure CAM's future, but we need your help. If you're able to give to the future of the museum, please donate here, become a member here, or share the gift of membership with a loved one here. Working together, we can keep our doors open for the future. Art can bring us together, no matter the distance. Art can comfort us, connect us, allows us to share our experiences, and to see our shared humanity and common history. We thank you for your steadfast support and belief in Cameron Art Museum. Sincerely, Cameron Art Museum |
