Good morning, Acadiana business news readers. It's business news time. Let's get going.

You may remember the initial announcement of this project nearly two years ago, but now it's set to begin construction. Work on the $100 million renewable fuel plant in Jeanerette that will convert sugar cane bagasse into fuel pellets will start soon.

The plant will create 126 jobs, with an average salary of $62,500, Louisiana Economic Development said. Over 100 indirect jobs will be created in Acadiana as a result.
