Dear Friend,

Welcome back to my Week in Review newsletter. Please remember to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube for regular updates on how I am serving the people of South Carolina!

Washington Democrats continue their efforts to mislead while congressional Republicans are working to meet the priorities of families at home and around the nation. This week, Senate Republicans reaffirmed our support of IVF, women having a right to play sports against other women, and for a safe and secure nation. We also called out the continued double standard of President Biden’s Department of Justice.

"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

The Week in Review

Continuing to Support Families

I partnered with Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) and all our Senate Republican colleagues this week to reaffirm our support for access to IVF nationwide. Despite Democrats’ efforts to mislead and confuse the American people, IVF will continue to be legal and available across the country. I support this nationwide access to IVF because it gives hope and opportunity for millions of aspiring parents to start and grow their families.

Championing Safety and Opportunity for Women

This week, I joined Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) and Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee Ranking Member Bill Cassidy (R-La.) to introduce a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution of disapproval to protect Title IX from a rule that tramples on the rights given to girls and women for decades. The Biden rule single-handily erodes the protections Title IX created to ensure women have access to a fair and safe experience in all aspects of education. Their attempt to force a far-left gender ideology on Americans is as immoral as it is illegal.

We must continue providing both safety and opportunity for women and girls simply pursuing their education!

Condemning AG Garland's Evisceration of the American Judicial Process

I joined 28 of my Senate Republican colleagues in penning a letter to the Attorney General condemning the evisceration of the American judicial process and the conviction of former President Donald Trump in Manhattan. Our letter pointed to out how the trial violated concepts of due process that are guaranteed in several amendments of the Constitution. We also noted that New York State prosecutors do not have jurisdiction to enforce federal elections laws, as recently ruled by the Supreme Court.

Authorities Report No Arrests In Anti-Israel Protest That Vandalized Park Near White House

The Daily Wire

Various law enforcement agencies said they did not make any arrests related to the anti-Israel protest on Saturday in which people trashed a park next to the White House.

Several lawmakers, particularly Republicans, responded with outrage to images of the statues being covered in spray paint with messages such as “Free Gaza” before crews had cleaned them up.

“This is the disgusting, disgraceful behavior we’ve come to expect from terrorist sympathizers,” said Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who is a contender to become former President Donald Trump’s running mate this election cycle.
