Some of us woke up to snow this week. If you'd like to pretend to travel back in time a few weeks, check out this video that my colleague Eva Terry found of Utah's beautiful fall leaves.
Tell me: I was discussing this with a friend, but does the snow make it acceptable to listen to Christmas music now, or do we still have to wait until after Halloween or Thanksgiving?
Also on our mind: Utah fans chanting expletives on "The Pat McAfee Show,"the best horror movies filmed in the Beehive State and the Utah woman who calmed kids while sheltering during Maine mass shooting.
Poll: 68% of Utahns support legally sanctioned campsites for people experiencing homelessness
A recent poll from the Deseret News/Hinckley Institute of Politics found that 68% of Utahns support a policy that would create two legally sanctioned campsites for people experiencing homelessness.
But 22% oppose the policy, and 12% are unsure.
The poll also found that the support for sanctioned campsites stretched across all age groups.
The findings reflect the belief of Andrew Johnston, director of homeless policy and outreach for Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall, that most people want to help those experiencing homelessness.
“Most everyone wants to care about each other and wants everyone to succeed and that includes the unsheltered. I want to assume that the unsheltered want something different as well,” he said.

Since being elected House Speaker on Wednesday, Speaker Mike Johnson hasn't shied away from sharing his faith.
While on talking to Sean Hannity on Fox News Thursday, Johnson said that his stance on any issue can be found in one source: the Bible.
“‘What does Mike Johnson think about any issue under the sun?’ Go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it. That’s my worldview. That’s what I believe,” he said.
Videos of Johnson calling for prayers and photos of him kneeling prayer have circulated on the internet, prompting headlines from Politico, Newsweek and Time to tie Johnson to Christian nationalism.

ESPN's "College GameDay" has come to town. The University of Utah is hosting the television program for the fifth time in the school's history when the Oregon Ducks come to take on the Utes on Saturday.
"GameDay" host Rece Davis praised the university's hospitality while talking to the media Friday.
“The way that we’ve been treated here by everyone at the University of Utah, we were sort of semi-joking, but not really, up in the office earlier. We’re like this place might be the No. 1 overall seed in terms of the reception, the hospitality, the cooperation, because this is a big undertaking,” he said.
Davis didn't limit his praise to Utah's hosting. He later turned his attention to Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham and why he's deserving of the "Coach of the Year" talk.
“I mean, there are a lot of guys who are deserving but none more deserving than him, if they continue to finish. ... I think it would be hard to find a better candidate than what he’s been able to do up to this point. But you could say that for a lot of seasons for his career,” he said.
