UP FIRST A major Windows update just launched. Here's what's new Find out what it features and how to download it Microsoft has just announced the latest update to Windows 11, which brings the operating system up to version 23H2. This is a cumulative update that comes with some of the most exciting features already announced in September, including Copilot, and brings some changes to Teams, among other things. When Microsoft first announced Copilot during its September event, many thought that it’d be available right away – and it was, but not widely. TECHNOLOGY Collins English Dictionary's Word of the Year is ... So convinced was Collins that it didn't even need a whole year to decide The U.K.’s Collins English Dictionary has announced “AI” as its Word of the Year. Explaining its decision, Collins highlighted the impact of OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot, which launched last year before going viral in early 2023. The generative AI chatbot is adept at conversing in an impressively natural, human-like way, and inspired others like Google and Meta to work even harder on their own similar technology. The new wave of AI-powered tools also pushes into image and voice creation and is expected to upend numerous industries. "And while people were understandably fascinated, they also started to get a bit anxious," Collins said. "If computers were suddenly experts in that most human of domains, language, what next? Cue an explosion of debate, scrutiny, and prediction, and more than enough justification for Collins’ 2023 Word of the Year."

Watching the super-slick production, few would have guessed that the presentation was shot using an iPhone, but it just goes to show what a top-end smartphone can do – when used with cranes, dollies, drones, special lighting, and a professional film crew, that is. Even more impressive is the fact that it was shot using a free but very advanced app called Blackmagic Camera, created by the same people who make professional digital movie cameras ...

The company has released two new smartphones, a new smartwatch, and a new version of Android. But there’s something else that slipped through the cracks amid all that: the Fitbit Charge 6. The Fitbit Charge 6 was announced in September, and it was quickly buried under more exciting announcements for the Google Pixel 8, Google Pixel 8 Pro, and the Google Pixel Watch 2. But to completely overlook the Fitbit Charge 6 would be a mistake. I’ve been wearing it for a little over a week, and for a $160 fitness tracker, it’s an impressive package. Before you go and spend $350 on the latest Pixel Watch or another smartwatch, here’s why you may want to consider the Fitbit Charge 6 instead ...
