Corn and Soybean Prices Soar Higher, Even With USDA's Surprising March Prospective Plantings Report
 
USDA's 2023 Prospective Plantings report shows farmers intend to plant a surprising 3.42 million more corn acres in 2023 versus 2022 for a total of nearly 92 million acres. Soybeans acres are expected to be up slightly at 87.51 million; wheat acres up 9% at 49.9 million; and cotton acres down 18% to 11.3 million.
