I don’t believe anyone enjoyed life more than Dad. The smile on his face when he had cornbread and buttermilk was incredible.
He made sure to get the most browned piece of cornbread with the burned edges. He would break it into pieces and put it into a glass of ice cold buttermilk. He would force the cornbread down with his spoon and when it had soaked up the goodness he would take his first bite.
A huge smile would come across his face, his eyes would close slightly, and he would make a sound like ummm, ummm, ummm.
Next would come the lip-licking and the generous offer to share! Of course, he knew that no one else would want any!
Sometimes I write these posts for me. Nothing like a good memory of Dad to make my day even better.
But what is the lesson here for all of us? Why not let the world know what you are grateful for? It seemed that the more Dad was grateful for, the more he had to be grateful for. Ummm, ummm, ummm.
Pass it on.
You are Born To Win, so go ahead and Live to Win.
