This is an anxious time for everyone and the impact the changes to our everyday lives are having on our mental health should not be underestimated.


The restrictions on our  movement are necessary if we are to beat the coronavirus, but it is understandable that people will feel a range of emotions including loneliness and anxiety.


Further down in this bulletin are some NHS recommended helplines and websites for anyone who is currently struggling with their mental health.

These are some of the day's main developments:

  • The number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Scotland has risen by 179 to 1,563.
  • There have now been 47 deaths in Scotland relating to Covid-19
  • Screening for breast and bowel cancers has been paused in Scotland, according to the First Minister.
  • 'Scotland Cares' initiative has been launched in a drive to recruit volunteers to support the NHS.
  • Easyjet has grounded its entire fleet due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
